Mark Ruffalo and More React To Tatiana Maslany’s She-Hulk Casting

It’s only been a few hours since Tatiana Maslany was announced as the actress who will bring She-Hulk to life in live-action. However, congratulations have already started to pour in. Fans and celebrities alike seem to be very happy with Maslany headlining Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ series as Jennifer Walters, including someone who knows a thing or two about playing a gamma-enhanced superhero.

One of the first people to applaud Maslany’s casting was her onscreen cousin, Bruce Banner himself, Mark Ruffalo. In Marvel’s comic book universe, Jennifer became She-Hulk after Bruce gave her an emergency blood transfusion to save her life. It seems like a safe bet that Ruffalo will reprise his role on the new series, presumably as the Smart Hulk we saw in Avengers: Endgame last year. You can check out his message to Maslany below.

Ruffalo wasn’t the only person involved with the show to tweet out his support for Maslany. She-Hulk showrunner Jessica Gao, writer Dana Schwartz, and director/executive producer Kat Coiro also shared their excitement on social media. Additionally, the news piqued the attention of several comic book writers who have previously chronicled Jennifer’s adventures for Marvel Comics. Charles Soule and Dan Slott were also among those who chimed in with support of their own.
