Mondo Gives The Mandalorian Score a Vinyl Box Set

A number of Star Wars fans will likely be re-watching The Mandalorian’s first eight episodes before season 2 gets underway this fall. Soon, they will also be able to revisit the show’s music in the best way possible. Thanks to Mondo, all of Ludwig Göransson’s musical contributions to the series’ are getting collected on vinyl in a massive box set coming later this year.

Mondo left no song unturned for the upcoming collection, which also marks their first-ever Star Wars release. Göransson’s music is pressed on a set of eight 180-gram LPs, one for each episode of the first season. Additionally, Mondo recruited Paul Mann to handle the box set’s artwork. Each disc fits inside a unique sleeve with artwork denoting every individual episode. The LPs are also housed inside a slipcase adorned with the Mando’s instantly recognizable mudhorn signet.

At $200, the box set might break the bank for some. Regardless, it still looks like a worthy addition to any die hard Star Wars fan’s collection. Pre-orders for the soundtrack go live this Wednesday at 12pm CT. The box sets are expected to ship sometime in November.

In the meantime, Göransson is currently finishing up the music for The Mandalorian season 2. The new episodes will premiere on Disney+ in October.
