The CW’s Supergirl took a week off as the show didn’t air last Sunday night as usual. To pump up the fans’ hype for the upcoming episode, the television network has released a batch of promotional photos from Supergirl episode 5.14. It seems that Brainiac-5 is still torn between helping Kara Danvers in defeating Lex Luthor and working with the latter to take down Leviathan. For the moment, it seems that the former member of the Legion has managed to cut off all emotional attachment and is toiling to prevent that the terror organization takes over Earth-Prime.
From the stills, it seems that also the titular hero and Lex will take a week off from their beef. Under the billionaire industrialist’s request, Supergirl will have to try and defend the life of Julie Gonzalo’s Andrea.

Gregory Smith directed the episode with story by Lindsay Sturman and teleplay by Emilio Ortega Aldrich & Chandler Smidt. The synopsis of “The Bodyguard” reads as follows:
“Lex (guest star Jon Cryer) tasks Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) with protecting Andrea (Julie Gonzalo) from an anti-tech extremist, but his nefarious purpose goes beyond merely keeping Andrea alive. Meanwhile, Lena (Katie McGrath) moves forward with Non Nocere, with Lex’s help.”
Based on the DC characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the series boasts executive producers Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, as well as Robert Rovner, and Jessica Queller. Moreover, Berlanti Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television, produces Supergirl.
