There’s been a lot of talk over the past few months about “the Snyder’s Cut” of Justice League. Some of the film’s stars have asked for its potential release, while others, like composer Danny Elfman, have denied its existence. But the director himself, Zack Snyder, has made it clear that it does in fact exist.
Snyder recently took to Vero and showed off a number of film cans (and a runtime) marked with his initials. In it, it includes the text “Is it real? Does it exist? Of course it does.” Rob Liefeld shared the image on his Twitter account, as seen below.

This marks the first time that Snyder provided direct confirmation that his cut is real. It’s been the subject of discussion since the film hit theaters two years ago. However, Snyder’s original vision never saw the light of day. And it doesn’t look like it will anytime soon, despite the mounting demand.

While speaking with Variety, a source close to the project explained why the studio isn’t interested.
“There’s little appetite at the studio for spending the millions of dollars it would require to finish visual effects and editing work on Snyder’s version, particularly as Justice League was a commercial disaster. There are currently no plans to release a Snyder version either in theaters or on HBO Max.”
