Super7 Introduces Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Ultimate 7-Inch Figures

Just when you think every possible Ninja Turtle variant action figure has been made, some toy genius comes up with something new…and must-have. Super7 recently lost the rights to make Masters of the Universe Classics in the 7-inch scale, but now can more than make up for it with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Ultimate Classics. Like the MOTU line, the premise here is to take the designs of the original toys and execute them with modern sculpting, detail, and articulation. And they’ll be in scale with He-Man and the Masters (rather than the original Playmates line), with human figures standing 7-inches, and others scaled appropriately.

Moving forward, Super7 will rebrand all “Classics” figures as Ultimate. This includes ThunderCats and a forthcoming Conan the Barbarian movie line. Rather than $35 figures that only came bundled in waves of four, Ultimates will be sold individually, with more accessories, for $45. And it’s going to take a while to get all four Turtles, as only Raphael comes in wave one. Arriving alongside the cool-but-rude-dude are Master Splinter, Baxter Stockman, and a Foot Soldier.

In tribute to the original figures, weapons will come on a model-kit style rack and require sprue-trimming removal. All original weapons get makeovers, plus there are some new additions like bonus hands.  Splinter has a hot cup of tea, and a Mouser flanks Stockman. Super7 makes the toys to order, so after the pre-order ends on the 31st, that’s it. So choose wisely.
