Krysten Ritter Steps Into the Director’s Chair in Jessica Jones Season 3 Featurette

Netflix has released a new Marvel’s Jessica Jones Season 3 behind-the-scenes featurette centering on star Krysten Ritter stepping into the director’s chair in the final season. In the video, which you can view in the player below, Ritter and her co-stars reflect on her powerful journey. One that led her from playing a superhero to directing her first episode.

The Netflix original series made its mark as the second of four live-action (now canceled) series, including Marvel’s DaredevilMarvel’s Luke Cage and Marvel’s Iron Fist, which all led to the teaming of the main characters in Marvel’s The Defenders. Marvel’s Jessica Jones took a suspenseful look into the life of Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), a private investigator who dealt with internal and external demons. Soon thereafter, the first season received a prestigious Peabody Award.

In the second season, Jones began to put her life back together after murdering her tormenter, Kilgrave (David Tennant). Now known throughout the city as a super-powered killer, she finds a new case. It makes her reluctantly confront who she really is while digging deeper into her past to explore the reasons why.

Ritter stars once again as Jessica. Additionally, returning cast includes Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), and Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse), among others.

Marvel’s Jessica Jones on Netflix is executive produced by series showrunner Melissa Rosenberg (TwilightDexter), Raelle Tucker (True Blood), Jim Chory (Marvel’s DaredevilMarvel’s Luke CageMarvel’s Iron Fist) and Jeph Loeb, who also serves as Marvel’s Head of Television.
