The Russo Brothers Reveal Which Fox Marvel Characters Would Bring Them Back

The Russo Brothers Tell Which New Characters Would Bring Them Back

Avengers: Endgame will not only mark the end of Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but also the goodbye of two of the main architects of its success. Anthony and Joe Russo decided to take a break from the MCU after directing Infinity War and Endgame back to back. Now, the directors have revealed to Business Insider that they would reconsider their decision if something special comes up.

We love Marvel, we have the most amazing working relationship with them, and we’re very close with them,” Anthony Russo said. “Maybe there will be an idea that comes up in the future, but there is none now.

Then the Russo Brothers said that there actually might be some new characters they would like working with. The Fox acquisition by Disney has them potentially interested. As a result of it, superheroes like the X-Men and the Fantastic Four will debut in the MCU eventually.

It’s just about finding the right story that inspires us. That’s why we get out of bed every day,” Joe Russo added. “I love Ben Grimm from the Fantastic Four. Doctor Doom was always one of my favorite villains.

Eventually, Joe Russo spoke also about Wolverine, but he noted that the mutant has “got to be set aside for a little while.

Seeing characters like the X-Men and the Fantastic Four in the MCU might take some time. Marvel hasn’t been allowed to plan for them until now. Consequently, they won’t likely debut before the beginning of Phase 5.

Avengers: Endgame is in theaters now. Would you like to see a movie by the Russo Brothers with the Fantastic Four? Be sure to share your thoughts in the comments section below.
