OMG! New American Gods character posters show us the deities in the upcoming Starz series

Today, Starz released a slew of American Gods character posters, giving us a look at the deities, as well as some not-so-god-like characters. The posters are all labeled with a giant, neon OMG and give us an idea about who each of the gods and god-adjacent characters are. The upcoming series is based on the novel by Neil Gaiman and follows Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle), an ex-con as he tries to navigate a war between the Old Gods and the New Gods.

The American Gods character posters, which you can see in the gallery below, show characters like Mr. Wednesday, calling him a “Con Man.” Mr. Wednesday is Odin, the Norse God of knowledge and wisdom. “Wednesday” means “Odin’s Day,” in case you were wondering about the name. All of the Old Gods are based on myths from around the world, including Easter (Ēostre, goddess of the dawn and spring), Mad Sweeney (Suibhne from Irish myth – the Irish Gaelic pronunciation is close to “Sweeney) and Bilquis (the Queen of Sheba from the Bible).
