Well, it looks like Showtime has gone back and are passing on the series, according to writer John Layman who went to Twitter to post:
“There will not be a CHEW TV series on Showtime.”
At the time, they were also talking about getting “Lost” star Ken Leung to play the main character Tony Chu, a “cibopath” with the supernatural ability to gain a psychic impression of an object by eating it, although they’ll probably have to wait until they get a network on board the project before moving forward with casting.
