Behind the Scenes of The Goon Movie

The film adaptation of Eric Powell’s The Goon is something we really want to see happen. Unfortunately, it’s a project that has been stuck in development for a long time due to a lack of interest from the studios. Since the test trailer was shown off in 2009, people have clamored for the film and we’ve got the opportunity to help make that happen with their Kickstarter campaign.

When a film has David Fincher attached, it makes a lot of people suspicious about why they need a Kickstarter, and who are these people asking for your money anyway? Lucky for you, Carson Daly seemingly has good taste and went behind the scenes of Blur Studios on his television show Last Call with Carson Daly.

In the video below, you can meet the men behind Blur Studios and The Goon feature adaptation and find out why they want to make this movie, and why they need your help. Don’t forget to check out the Kickstarter campaign for the movie’s story reel by clicking here.

The film would see Clancy Brown playing The Goon with Paul Giamatti as his friend Frankie. The Goon follows the adventures of a muscle-bound brawler who claims to be the primary enforcer for a feared mobster. The stories have a paranormal and comedic edge to them and concern ghosts, zombies, bog lurks, mad scientists and “skunk apes.”
