Channing Tatum Gambit Training Video Shows Star Preparing for Cameo

Channing Tatum appearing in Deadpool & Wolverine as Gambit is no longer a surprise, and Tatum took to social media to share some footage of him practicing for the part.

In a new post on Instagram, Tatum shared a video compilation of him preparing for the role of Gambit. This included playing with a Deadpool action figure before getting into the gym and practicing fight choreography with Gambit’s signature bo staff.

The video also shows off Tatum being fitted for Gambit’s headpiece and wig, as well as Tatum practicing some of the choreography of throwing cards while wearing Gambit’s trenchcoat.

Deadpool & Wolverine is directed by Shawn Levy, who previously worked with Reynolds on 2021’s Free Guy and 2022’s The Adam Project. Levy and Reynolds wrote the screenplay for the movie with Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells.

The first two Deadpool movies — 2016’s Deadpool and 2018’s Deadpool 2 — are currently streaming on Disney+, while Deadpool is also available to watch on Max. Deadpool & Wolverine is now in theaters.
