Taylor Swift Deadpool 3 Dazzler

Deadpool & Wolverine: Shawn Levy Addresses Taylor Swift MCU Cameo Rumors

Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy likes the fun of cameo speculation in the upcoming MCU blockbuster, including the rumors about Taylor Swift‘s inclusion.

“I can’t even believe that you would dare ask me a question that you know I can’t answer,” Levy answered to Entertainment Tonight during the 2024 CinemaCon when asked if the pop superstar will cameo as X-Men icon Dazzler. “You know I can’t answer. All of America knows I can’t answer that. I will say, as I said earlier here at CinemaCon, the proliferation of rumors about who is and isn’t in this movie is fabulous. Because no one will ever know the truth until July 26th.”

Levy was pressed further about Swift, who was previously spotted with stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman during a Kansas City Chiefs versus New York Jets football game last October. The director added, “That is hardly confirmed nor denied in this interview. I’m going to literally walk about of the frame and save myself, otherwise Ryan’s taking a hit [out] on me. All that’s known is that I went to a football game, and those hours were well-documented, and that’s all I’m gonna say. What can I say? I think intrigue is fun.”

Rumored cameos in Deadpool & Wolverine

Aside from Swift, rumors have been rampant about stars from previous Fox-produced Marvel movies possibly making cameos in Deadpool & Wolverine. While Jennifer Garner is confirmed to reprise Elektra from 2003’s Daredevil, cameo speculation ranges from James Marsden reprising Cyclops from the X-Men franchise to Channing Tatum as Gambit. While none of these rumors have been confirmed, Deadpool creator Rob Liefield teased that the surprise cast will blow MCU fans away.

“Some stuff I was aware of, I had to be quiet before it was announced,” Liefield said. “I knew Hugh and Ryan were getting back together for ‘Deadpool 3.’ I’ve been very fortunate people put stuff in front of me. And trust me, all I’m saying is, I saw that cast list. I think people are just going to freakin’ get blown away, and I’m not saying shit more than what I just said.”

Deadpool & Wolverine is scheduled for release on July 26th.
