Hulu’s Prey Will Have Its World Premiere at San Diego Comic-Con

Predator fans officially have one more reason to attend San Diego Comic-Con later this month. Collider is teaming with Hulu to host the world premiere of Prey, the upcoming Predator prequel from director Dan Trachtenberg.

The film’s premiere will take place on Thursday, July 21 at 8:30pm. However, Collider isn’t hosting the event at the San Diego Convention Center. Although the site doesn’t list a specific location (yet), the film will instead be shown somewhere “a few miles” from the actual Comic-Con festivities. And if fans can’t secure their own ride, Collider will provide shuttles to bring viewers from San Diego’s Gaslamp District to the premiere and back, regardless of whether or not they have Comic-Con badges.

Set 300 years ago, Prey tells the story of the first Predator that ever set foot on Earth. When the alien hunter targets the Comanche Nation, one of the tribe’s fiercest warriors will take it upon herself to fight back and keep her people safe.

Collider also notes that because Prey is going straight to Hulu, this might be the only opportunity for fans to see the film on the big screen. To sweeten the deal, the site is also hosting a Q&A featuring Trachtenberg, producer Jhane Myers, and several cast members. Amber Midthunder (Naru), Dakota Beavers (Taabe), and Dane DiLiegro (The Predator) will all be on hand to answer questions about the Predator franchise’s latest installment.

Additionally, fans can enter for the chance to win free tickets to the screening. All they have to do is e-mail thecollidermailbox@gmail.com with “I Want to See Prey at Comic-Con” as the subject line. They must also include their name and whether they want to bring a guest. The site will accept submissions until July 16 at 12pm PT and announce the winners and location the next day.

Prey will begin streaming on Hulu on August 5.
