Sony’s original Spider-Man soundtrack isn’t the only Danny Elfman release on the horizon. The prolific composer recently teamed up with Sam Raimi once again on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Now, as part of its ongoing collaboration with Marvel and Hollywood Records, Mondo has announced that Elfman’s score is arriving on 180-gram vinyl.
Elfman has caught some flak for not incorporating enough of Michael Giacchino’s original Doctor Strange themes into the sequel. Regardless, his work has earned top marks ever since the movie hit theaters last week. Each of the score’s tracks features Elfman’s signature gothic touch, befitting its place in Marvel’s first real horror movie. Plus, many of the film’s musical cues boast loud electric guitars to accompany the titular Master of the Mystic Arts as he travels through the multiverse.
The soundtrack features all-new artwork from Florian Bertmer. His cover for the album finds Strange sitting in a meditative pose in the center of a mandala, surrounded by runes as he casts a spell. Meanwhile, the webstore-exclusive LPs feature their own stunning design as well. But if colored vinyl isn’t your jam, the score will be available on standard black as well.

Multiverse of Madness is one of several recent Marvel soundtracks getting the vinyl treatment this year. Just last month, Mondo announced the upcoming vinyl release of Joel P. West’s music from Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The company also teased that an announcement regarding Ramin Djawadi’s Eternals score will be made in the near future.
