The new Jurassic Age is among us. Recently, Universal debuted the prologue of the upcoming Jurassic World: Dominion movie. Some lucky fans already saw it in Imax theaters right before the recently released Fast & Furious 9, but now it is available to all. The video opens with some scenes from the actual Jurassic Age when dinosaurs ruled over the world. It then shows the notorious mosquito beloved by John Hammond. The images next cut to the modern Jurassic (Park) Age, where a tyrannosaurus rex walks into a drive-in theater. As the customers start running away, Chris Pratt’s Owen Grady arrives to save the day, attempting to hunt the big menace down from a chopper.

Like the rest of the industry, Jurassic World: Dominion was affected by the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020. While it was the first major studio movie to roll the cameras again in July, thanks to a much-needed safety plan, production had to be halted again in October after the positive cases spiked on the set at Pinewood Studios. Ultimately, it led to the movie’s release being rescheduled by almost a year.
In addition to the recurring cast, original Jurassic Park stars Laura Dern, Sam Neill, and Jeff Goldblum will reprise their roles as Dr. Ellie Sattler, Dr. Alan Grant, and Dr. Ian Malcolm, respectively. Jurassic World: Dominion debuts in theaters on June 10, 2022.
