Earlier this year, Warner Bros. Animation revealed that an adaptation of Injustice: Gods Among Us will be the next animated DC movie after Batman: The Long Halloween, Part 2. Now, via The Hollywood Reporter, the voice cast has been announced and it will likely be released this fall.
While the Injustice video games featured veteran cast members from the Justice League animated series, the movie will have an entirely different cast. Former Smallville star Justin Hartley will headline the film as Superman. Additionally, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Inhumans star Anson Mount will voice Batman. Laura Bailey has two roles in the film: Lois Lane and the otherworldly Rama Kushna.
Bailey isn’t the only one playing multiple characters. Edwin Hodge is playing Mr. Terrific and Killer Croc, while Derek Phillips will portray Nightwing and Aquaman. Kevin Pollak is voicing Joker and Jonathan Kent, alongside Reid Scott as Green Arrow and Victor Zsasz, and Zach Callison as Damian Wayne and Jimmy Olsen.

Spider-Man PS4’s Yuri Lowenthal is voicing Flash, Shazam, and Mirror Master. Janet Varney is also starring as Wonder Woman, alongside Gillian Jacobs as Harley Quinn, Brian T. Delaney as Green Lantern, Brandon Michael Hall as Cyborg, and Oliver Hudson as Plastic Man. Additionally, Anika Noni Rose will voice Catwoman, with Faran Tahir as Ra’s al Ghul, Fred Tatasciore as Captain Atom, and Andrew Morgado as Mirror Master Soldier.
The Injustice movie will take its cues from the video game’s prologue. It will also adapt the Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year One comic that was written by Tom Taylor. The movie and the game take place in a dark timeline where Joker tricked Superman into killing Lois Lane. The Man of Steel goes mad with grief, and he forms a totalitarian regime to “protect” everyone on Earth. While several heroes side with Superman, Batman forms a resistance movement to stop him.
Batman: Hush screenwriter Ernie Altbacker wrote the script for Injustice. Matt Peters (Justice League Dark) is directing the project.
