Later this week, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will carry on the legacy of Captain America past the events of Avengers: Endgame. However, there have been rumors that Chris Evans would reprise his role at some point. Back in January, Deadline reported that Evans was in negotiations with Marvel Studios about making a return. Regardless, Marvel’s Kevin Feige has taken the rare step to debunk this rumor.
“I rarely answer no to anything anymore because things are always surprising me with what happens,” said Feige during an interview with EW. “But I think that rumor was dispelled quickly by the man himself”

Avengers: Endgame seemingly gave Cap the happy ending he was denied when he was frozen for decades. While returning the Infinity Stones, Steve decided to stay in the past and reunite with Peggy Carter. However, there are still some questions as to whether that took place in the primary timeline or an alternate timeline. It’s also unknown if The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will establish if Steve is still alive six months after Endgame.
Do you think Chris Evans will ever reprise his role as Captain America? And should he? Let us know what you think in the comment section below!
