Next month, Warner Bros. Animation’s Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge will revisit the story of the first Mortal Kombat arcade game. Although the title implies that Scorpion’s story will be the focus, the film will also feature MK‘s traditional heroes like Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, and Raiden in major roles. In a newly released clip from the film, Johnny Cage meets his fellow defenders of Earthrealm for the first time. However, the actor doesn’t realize that he’s entering into a real tournament.
Additionally, Cage makes an attempt at improv when he believes that everyone else is in character. Along the way, Cage learns what’s waiting for them beyond the veil, even if he can’t take it seriously yet.
