Bill and Ted Face the Music Photos Reveal Death and the Daughters

Fans of the Bill and Ted films are in for a most excellent adventure in 2020, as the duo returns for Bill and Ted Face the Music. But things aren’t so rad this time around, based on new story details from Entertainment Weekly. According to EW, Bill S. Preston Esq. (Alex Winter) and Ted Theodore Logan III (Keanu Reeves) are still making music with their band Wyld Stallyns. But trouble is on the horizon.

“They were told when they were teenagers that they were going to save reality, and they’ve been working on it the whole time,” explained co-writer Chris Matheson. “Now an emissary from the future comes and says, ‘You’ve got to do it right now. We’ve got literally 80 minutes or all of reality will come to an end.’”

The movie also introduces Bill and Ted’s children. Samara Weaving (Ready or Not) portrays Bill’s daughter, Thea, while Brigette Lundy-Paine (Atypical) will play Ted’s young one, Billie. “The daughters really love their dads’ music and want to help them,” added Matheson.

The cast also includes Barry star Anthony Carrigan, Saturday Night Live’s Beck Bennett, and musician turned actor, Kid Cudi. But the real treat for fans is the return of William Sadler as Death. A new photo shows Death speaking with Bill and Ted, but it may not be a happy reunion.

“Death was in the band in the second film,” explained director Dean Parisot. “Things didn’t go all that well. But I’ll leave it at that!”

Bill and Ted Face the Music will hit theaters on August 21, 2020.
