A new update on the release date of DC’s Wonder Woman game has been circulating online. Accordingly, fans are interested in learning more about it. Although the Wonder Woman game was announced three years ago at the Game Awards, it has yet to see the light of day and many are wondering when it will come out.

The Wonder Woman game could be released in 2026. However, an official release date is yet to be announced.
Bloomberg writer and insider Jason Schreier shared the release date update in an appearance on the Triple Click podcast, co-hosted by Maddy Myers and Kirk Hamilton. This was after Myers quipped that fans may not see the game again.
Schreier learned of the 2026 timeline directly from a developer of the game. He added that the release timeframe was “unrealistic.” Just a few days earlier, Schreier had shared his thoughts on why there has been complete radio silence from the game’s developers, Monolith Studios, ever since its initial reveal in 2021.
Jason Schreier shared them during an appearance on the Kinda Funny Games Daily podcast. There, he mentioned that the game was nothing more than an idea and that it had yet to start development. “There have been so many times where it’s been this hyped big teaser trailer announcement and then you’re not going to see that thing for a very long time,’ Schreier added.
Monolith Studios’ last known video game, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, was released back in 2017. Thus, it has been almost seven years since they developed and published a new game. Not much is known about the Wonder Woman game, apart from its story seeing the title character return to her home in Themyscira to face a new enemy as teased in the announcement trailer. This is because it has yet to reveal any official gameplay footage.
However, online reports suggest that the Wonder Woman gameplay style will be based on the Nemesis System. This mechanic was introduced in Monolith’s previous games, the aforementioned Shadow of War and its predecessor, Shadow of Mordor.
