SDCC 2024: Funko Pop Yourself Deadpool & Wolverine

When Funko Pop Yourself launched online last year, they promised co-branded opportunities would happen later down the line, and their first was a bit of a surprise: Dunkin Donuts allowed fans to customize their Pops with Dunkin gear, providing a test case with a smaller brand that arguably had more freedom and a smaller chain of command. This year, they’re going just a touch bigger, with Deadpool & Wolverine items to make fans into the summer’s biggest movie antiheroes. Or, depending how one wants to look at it, cosplayers.

At Comic-Con itself, those lucky enough to find slots in line can make exclusive versions that wear VIP convention lanyards, and can include the Con-exclusive accessory option of a Time Variance Authority datapad. Dogpool, also known as Mary Puppins, gets thrown in as an extra. In San Diego, these run $50, and come in exclusive boxes, together with a hard acrylic collector case that form-fits the box perfectly.

Online, these will be available as bonus figure add-ons once you make a regular Pop Yourself figure — $20 more gets you the Deadpool or Wolverine costume version of yourself as an extra figure in additional to your base one.

Funko has heard some of the requests for additional customization options, and I can confirm gray hair is one now, crucial to the goatee on my own Wolverine Pop. Diverse body shapes are also being explored, though my suggestion of tattoo-sleeve arms was a new one on them, albeit one seemingly received positively. Certainly, they’ve found this particular co-branding to be a resounding success so far. The level of detail on the costumes is particularly elaborate for a Pop, and that Dogpool is way more specific than previous pet accessories.

If you want to get started, the regenerative mutant transformation process can begin.
