Terry Crews Filmed Scenes For Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

Prior to playing Bedlam in Deadpool 2, Terry Crews was rumored to be up for the role of Luke Cage in the MCU. While the part of Luke Cage ultimately went to Mike Colter, Crews has finally found his way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe…sort of. Via Marvel’s official site, Crews filmed scenes for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, the upcoming ride at Walt Disney World’s EPCOT. Crews will play Nova Centurion Tal Marik, a character created for the attraction. And when time itself goes wild, it’s Tal Marik who calls upon the Guardians for help.

As mentioned in the Tweet above, Tal Marik is Commander of a ship called the Starcharter, and an advisor to Nova Prime Irani Rael. For this attraction, Glenn Close is reprising her role as Nova Prime from the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

Marvel recently revealed that villain of Cosmic Rewind is a Celestial known as Eson. This is the same Celestial who was seen wielding the Power Stone in Guardians of the Galaxy. Somehow, Eson is causing time to go backwards on Earth. But Eson’s purpose on Earth has yet to be revealed.

Director James Gunn shot new scenes for Cosmic Rewind while filming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, and Bradley Cooper reprised their roles for the attraction. The ride itself is a reverse launch rollercoaster that will rotate riders 360-degrees so they can witness the story play out along the way.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will open on May 27.
