Avengers: Quantum Encounter is Coming To the Disney Wish

The Disney Wish (the newest addition to Disney’s fleet of cruise ships) isn’t setting sail for another year. Regardless, the studio has just revealed a new restaurant onboard that’s sure to get Marvel fans excited. The ship will feature its own MCU-themed eatery called Worlds of Marvel. In it, fans can participate in a “first-of-its-kind” immersive experience. Check out the trailer for Avengers: Quantum Encounter (featuring an introduction by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige) below.

Via a “cinematic dining adventure,” Quantum Encounter gives guests a new opportunity to interact with two of the Marvel Universe’s most underrated superheroes: Ant-Man and the Wasp. Once guests sit down to eat, they will learn that the dynamic duo are hosting a speaking engagement on behalf of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. As a bonus, they will bring along some familiar Avengers tech to show off, including Captain America’s shield, Iron Man’s arc reactor, and of course, Pym Particles. But that’s not all. The heroes will also introduce the latest Pym Tech creation: the Quantum Core, which graces every table in the restaurant and can shrink or grow objects with the simple push of a button.

However, as the heroes demonstrate the Quantum Core, a mysterious villain will crash the party in order to get his hands on the new tech. Ant-Man and the Wasp will subsequently call on some of their superpowered allies (and even the diners themselves) for backup. As the story unfolds, fans can also partake in an abundance of Marvel-inspired dishes.

Avengers: Quantum Encounter is Disney Cruise Line’s most ambitious dining experience ever,” said Danny Handke, senior creative director, Walt Disney Imagineering. “We’re doing something that’s never been done before in a restaurant, developing an exclusive Avengers adventure that will immerse our guests in the action through sophisticated technology and innovative storytelling. It’s the perfect complement to the incredible menu of story-driven dining aboard the Disney Wish.”

The Disney Wish will embark on its maiden voyage in the summer of 2022.
