First Look at McFarlane Toys The Suicide Squad Movie Figures

Following Wonder Woman 1984 and Zack Snyder’s Justice League, McFarlane Toys The Suicide Squad figures bring the 7-inch DC Multiverse line back to a big-screen tie-in. Turns out it is possible to do a series without Batman, after all. Although James Gunn’s R-rated superhero team film has many characters, McFarlane focused on the five most notable. Whether or not this means they’re the most likely to survive the story, we’ll have to see.

The Suicide Squad movie figures include John Cena’s Peacemaker, Idris Elba’s Bloodsport, Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, and David Dastmalchian’s Polka Dot Man. Collect all four to build the larger King Shark, voiced onscreen by Sylvester Stallone. Rumor has it a different variant of King Shark will sell separately as well.

It appears from the image that DC’s current mandate not to show their characters with guns in marketing images hit McFarlane too. Peacemaker and Bloodsport tend to bear arms that fire bullets. We’ll have to find out later if the figures themselves only wield swords. Interesting to note that Harley comes in her red dress, and not the same form-fitting battle gear as the recently revealed Tamashii Nations movie figure and the Cryptozoic vinyl figure available at Entertainment Earth. Unmasked variants of Peacemaker and Bloodsport have also popped up in sales listings, possibly as store exclusives. Since Peacemaker in particular will get a spin-off show on HBO Max, extra versions of him seem like no surprise. No details yet on price and availability, though McFarlane’s DC build-a-figure waves tend to run around $25 for each figure.
