Superhero Hype!’s sister horror site ShockTillYouDrop.com learned at the Rue Morgue Festival of Fear in Toronto that Steve Niles’ popular private investigator Cal McDonald, the star of a number of novels and comic books, might be getting a bit closer to hitting the big screen.
At a panel for 30 Days of Night: Blood Trails, Niles mentioned that his script went through two studios but it now has a director interested in tackling it. “I had a director approach me at San Diego [Comic-Con], he was there promoting another movie. Hopefully we’ll be announcing [his involvement] soon,” Niles said at the panel.
