In her new movie Descent, Rosario Dawson plays a rape victim who gets payback on her attacker, but she’s become known for playing tough women in other movies like Frank Miller’s Sin City. While the plans for a Sin City 2 seem to be stalled right now, when Superhero Hype! had a chance to talk to Dawson, we asked her whether she might petition Miller to play one of the femme fatales in his upcoming movie based on Will Eisner’s The Spirit. Here’s what she told us:
“I did see him at Comic-Con and we did chat a little bit about it, but we’ll have to see about that, and ‘Sin City 2’ is something that’s on the backburner right now, so I’m curious about that.” She proceeded to do something in a high-pitched voice akin to coaxing Miller to give her a part, so maybe we’ll be seeing Dawson playing another Miller babe in the future. Right now, it’s little more than wishful thinking (on all our parts), but while Miller ponders it, you can decide for yourself which Femme Fatale Dawson might be better to play.
Descent opens in New York and L.A. on Friday, August 10.
