Despite being owned by Disney since 2009, Marvel Comics has yet to publish any comics based on classic Disney animation. That changes this June, with the release of Uncle Scrooge and the Infinity Dime #1. What’s more, Marvel is assembling an all-star team of artists to celebrate this momentous event with a series of variant covers.
Marvel previously announced the two main covers for Uncle Scrooge and the Infinity Dime #1 would be produced by Alex Ross and Lorenzo Pastrovicchio. They also announced a number of variants from legendary Marvel artists like John Romita Jr. Walter Simonson, and J. Scott Campbell. This already impressive collective is now joined by Pepe Larraz, Skottie Young, and Frank Miller.

Uncle Scrooge and the Infinity Dime Explained
Written by Jason Aaron, with art by an incredible lineup of celebrated Disney artists, the Infinity Dime story will blend the beloved world of Uncle Scrooge with Marvel’s unique cosmology. The story will pit Scrooge McDuck against his most cunning adversary ever — himself! A twisted variant Scrooge McDuck seeks to become the impossibly powerful and unimaginably wealthy Scrooge-Above-All. This will lead the familiar Uncle Scrooge to embark on a journey across time, space, and reality.
“As far as I’m concerned, there’s no disputing the fact that Uncle Scrooge is one of the absolute greatest characters in the history of comics,” Jason Aaron shared. “And I don’t just mean comics that feature talking animals. I mean all comics ever, bar none. It’s one of the most mind-staggering thrills of my career to get to craft this epic cosmic adventure for the World’s Richest Duck.”
Uncle Scrooge and the Infinity Dime #1 arrives in comic shops everywhere on June 19, 2024.
