Dynamite Entertainment found success with a new Darkwing Duck comic. Now, the other defenders of St. Canard will get their due in Justice Ducks #1.
First appearing in the Darkwing Duck two-part storyline “Just Us, Justice Ducks,” the Justice Ducks were uneasy allies at best. However, despite their inexperience and Darkwing’s famous ego leading him to refuse their help at first, the heroes rallied to stand against the Fearsome Five. The new series is set after the events of the cartoon, with the team more firmly established but Darkwing no less humble.
Written by Roger Langridge and illustrated by Carlo Cid Lauro, Justice Ducks #1 finds St. Canard in peril. A giant threatens the city, leading the Justice Ducks and Darkwing Duck to assemble in its defense. The giant turns out to be the first wave of an alien invasion.

Justice Ducks #1 cover variants
The first issue of Justice Ducks will feature multiple collectible covers. The A cover is provided by Italian artist Mirka Andolfo. The B cover was produced by Ricardo Tomaselli. Rodger Langridge created the C cover, which parodies a famous Justice League International cover. The final color-bleed cover with Darkwing Duck was created by Trish Forstner. In addition to the four standard variants, there will be additional virgin variants and a blank cover.
Justice Ducks #1 goes on sale January 24, 2024.
