Exclusive Preview: New Fantastic Four #2

Way back in the ’90s, Walt Simonson and artist Arthur Adams had a three-issue story in the pages of Fantastic Four that introduced a new FF team: Spider-Man, Wolverine, Hulk, and Ghost Rider. It was largely stunt casting, and only meant as a one-off adventure. But that all-star team has periodically reunited for new stories, and now they’re headlining their own flashback miniseries from Marvel. New Fantastic Four #2

Within the first issue, Spider-Man, Wolverine, and Ghost Rider were drawn to Las Vegas, where the Grey Hulk had reinvented himself as a mob enforcer called Mr. Fixit. The heroes soon found themselves fighting the demon Asmodeus, and they were overwhelmed by his demonic forces. Then, somehow, Spidey, Hulk, and Wolverine were teleported to the FF’s headquarters in the Baxter Building. Unfortunately, that left Ghost Rider behind to fend for himself.

In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for New Fantastic Four #2, Peter David and artist Alan Robinson bring in the Human Torch to help the new team get back to Vegas. Meanwhile, Ghost Rider has his hands full with Asmodeus’ demons, almost all of whom are humans who were transformed against their will.
