Exclusive Preview: Sabretooth #4

Krakoa is for mutants! But not all mutants. And certainly not for Victor Creed. In the early issues of House of X, Sabretooth was condemned to the pit of Krakoa by the Quiet Council for murdering humans while he was on a mission for the Council. Creed vowed revenge, but it seemed like an empty threat at the time. However, it’s getting more crowded in Krakoa’s virtual prison, and no one knows how to pick the locks like Creed. Sabretooth #4.

No one really misses Creed on the surface, but other mutants are different story. Oya, Melter, Madison Jeffries, Nekra, and Third Eye have also been condemned to the pit, and Sabretooth has recruited them to help him bring down the Quiet Council and get free. Creed fully expected this makeshift team to betray him, since his real goal is the destabilization of Krakoan society from within. What he didn’t plan for was Melter’s attempt to prevent that by murdering Creed himself.

In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for Sabretooth #4, Victor Lavalle and artist Leonard Kirk show us what’s happening in Creed’s mind as his body burns. As pointed out in the narration, Creed has got some experience with dying. This time, Creed can manifest himself on the island even as his real body wastes away. And if Sabretooth is taking his last breaths, then he’s going to make sure someone else suffers with him.

Here’s the official description from Marvel.

“CALL IN THE CAVALRY!

Even the best-laid plans fail. But above ground there are other mutants who’ve learned what’s happening in the Pit and they aren’t too pleased with the injustice of their fate. If Sabretooth and the others couldn’t break out of the Pit, maybe someone will just have to break in.
