Exclusive Preview – Devil’s Reign: X-Men #1

In the Marvel Universe, Wilson Fisk is the mayor of New York City. However, the Kingpin hasn’t gone legitimate, he’s just gotten more powerful. In the Devil’s Reign crossover, Fisk has finally made his move against NYC’s superheroes. The Avengers have gone underground, and at least two of the Fantastic Four have been captured. While the X-Men have their own country now, not even the residents of Krakoa are immune to Fisk’s latest moves. Reign X-Men #1.

Recent issues of Marauders have hinted that Emma Frost used to work with Kingpin when he was a crime lord. Essentially, she used her telepathy to do Kingpin’s dirty work. And that’s the connection that will come into play here.

In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for Devil’s Reign: X-Men #1, writer Gerry Duggan and artist Phil Noto show us a flashback to a post-massacre Kingpin as he dispatches Emma to deal with a “moral man.” Additionally, Elektra is taking out a few targets of her own.
