Exclusive Preview: Fantastic Four: Life Story #5

What if the Fantastic Four lived through six decades of adventures? That’s the premise behind Marvel’s alternate world tale, Fantastic Four: Life Story. However, the decades haven’t been kind to the FF. Johnny Storm died saving the world in the ’80s, and the marriage of Reed Richards and Susan Storm was shattered. For decades, Reed has been obsessed about the coming of Galactus, the Devourer of Worlds. And he was so laser focused on protecting Earth that he let Susan slip away. Fantastic Four: Life Story #5.

In the ’90s, Reed and Sue had a reconciliation of sorts. Regardless, the arrival of Silver Surfer proved that Reed had been right all along. Unfortunately, Reed’s defense system was easily defeated, and the planet Earth was given ten years to prepare for its death at Galactus’ hands.

In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview for Fantastic Four: Life Story #5, writer Mark Russell and artist Sean Izaakse with Carlos Magno catch up with the team just a few years before Galactus’ arrival. Most of the world has already given up. But the Fantastic Four won’t stop trying to find a way to defeat Galactus, even if it kills them.
