Good news for the fans of the God of Thunder, who will have to wait for another couple of years to see Thor: Love and Thunder. Thanks to Serial Box, Thor‘s adventures are going to become an audiobook in December. The story follows Thor and Loki teaming up for an adventure of cosmic proportions. The siblings will race across the universe to untangle a dangerous mystery and stop the return of an ancient evil.
“The story of Thor is staggeringly epic—from Asgardian myth to intergalactic quests, to the (sometimes surprising, often hilarious) depth of his relationships—he’s got it all,” Head of Content at Serial Box Hayley Wagreich said. “But what makes this story truly exciting to us as we kick off our collaboration with Marvel is how grounded his story is in real issues of identity, humanity, and what it means to be a hero. We can’t wait to bring Metal Gods to Thor fans across the globe.”
Additionally, a couple of new characters will make their debut. Fans will get to know the Korean demi-goddess Horangi and also Captain Zia, a charismatic, gender-ambiguous space pirate.

Thor: Metal Gods is just the first Marvel e-book series to launch on Serial Box. Additional original stories based on Marvel Comics will debut in early 2020. They will focus on fan-favorite superhero characters including Black Panther, as well as Black Widow and Jessica Jones. Moreover, the service encourages the users to sample the first episode for free before buying a full season pass.
