Sneak Peek reports that Tim Allen’s Zoom is moving ahead:
Despite sabre-rattling from Fox, accusing Revolution Pictures of jumping onto their “X-Men” mutant movie franchise, Sony Entertainment’s “ZOOM”, the $60 million comic book-to-film feature based on Jason Lethcoe’s graphic novel “Zoom’s Academy”, is on schedule to begin shooting at Toronto’s Cinespace Film Studios, July 6 to September 8.
According to Cinespace’s Jim Mirkopoulos, one of the sets for the FX-heavy film will be built at the studio’s Booth Avenue location and the other constructed at Toronto’s Maple Leaf Gardens.
Mirkopoulos said the former hockey arena, home to Russell Crowe’s “Cinderella Man” last year, can accomodate major construction because of its 70-to-80 foot high ceilings.
