The Hollywood Reporter says Alien vs. Predator topped the charts last week:
Last week, the sci-fi actioner “Alien vs. Predator,” starring Sanaa Lathan, was the best-selling DVD nationwide, according to Nielsen VideoScan. “AVP” got off to an impressive start during its first day in release Jan. 25, selling about 1.85 million combined DVD and VHS units, according to executives at 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.
“AVP” also was the nation’s top rental title during the same frame, generating about $8.6 million in consumer spending for the week ending Jan. 30, according Home Media Retailing magazine.
