2024 was a big year for both Deadpool & Wolverine. This was largely due to both the 50th anniversary of Logan’s first appearance and their blockbuster film. However, the two will team up again in 2025, as part of a special; Deadpool vs. Wolverine: Slash ‘Em Up!
The new one-shot was written by Christos Gage and drawn by Alan Robinson. It was originally published as an exclusive Marvel Infinity comic miniseries for the Marvel Unlimited app. However, it has proven so popular, the publisher has elected to offer it in a monthly print edition. This edition will be printed with two new covers.
The Ron Lim and Mark Bagley covers of Deadpool vs. Wolverine: Smash ‘Em Up! #1 may be viewed below.
Slash ‘Em Up puts Wolverine up in Deadpool’s business
The plot finds the long-time frenemies on the dangerous streets of Madripoor. The Merc with a Mouth is in town to take out a new target. This brings him into contention with Logan, who has his own reasons for interfering in Wade Wilson’s work.
This leads to an epic battle where blades are crossed and blood is spilled. Naturally, not all of it belongs to the quick-healing Canadians. However, this fight will test their respective powers to their limits, as they trade attacks and insults.

“The fact that both Deadpool & Wolverine have a healing factor, and the fact that we’re walking right up to an R rating without stepping over that line, means we can up the ante in terms of the punishment they can take,” Gage told Marvel.com. “Alan Robinson was so great at drawing Deadpool getting squished that I had him squashed two or three more times than I planned to.”
Deadpool Vs. Wolverine: Slash ‘Em Up! #1 arrives in comic shops everywhere on March 26, 2024.
