Marvel has announced the streaming release date of Deadpool & Wolverine along with its Disney+ slate for 2025. The movie featuring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman hit theaters in July 2024 and made its debut on video-on-demand platforms on October 1 following its huge success. Additionally, it had a physical release in Blu-Ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD formats on October 22 with bonus content. And now, the movie is set to make its way to Disney+ next month.
Deadpool & Wolverine begins streaming on Disney+ in November
Deadpool & Wolverine is scheduled to land on Disney+ on November 12, 2024, according to the official press release.
The movie became an instant fan favorite after its release and garnered immense praise from fans and critics alike for bringing Reynolds and Jackman together. The much-awaited cameos, including that of Wesley Snipes’ Blade and Chris Evans’ The Human Torch, added to the film’s appeal. Further, Henry Cavill’s unexpected Cavillrine appearance added to the list of the movie’s unforgettable moments.
The press release stated that the Disney+ version of Deadpool & Wolverine “goes far beyond the fourth wall with hilarious and insightful filmmaker commentary featuring director/producer/writer, Shawn Levy, and star/producer/writer, Ryan Reynolds.”
Fans need to subscribe to a plan to have access to watch Deadpool & Wolverine on Disney+ when it arrives on the platform. The two plans that viewers can choose from include the Basic plan, which costs $9.99 per month, and the Premium plan with no ads costing $15.99 per month. Other than that, there are several bundle packs available as well.
The press release also provides a very Deadpool-style description of the movie. It reads:
“Marvel Studios presents their most significant mistake to date – Deadpool & Wolverine. A listless Wade Wilson toils away in civilian life. His days as the morally flexible mercenary, Deadpool, behind him. When his home world faces an existential threat, Wade must reluctantly suit up again with an even more reluctantlier… reluctanter? Reluctantest? He must convince a reluctant Wolverine to… oh hell, just watch the movie. Synopses are stupid.”
Notably, becoming the highest-grossing R-rated film in cinema history after surpassing 2019’s Joker, Deadpool & Wolverine earned over $1.3 billion globally in its theater run.
