Season 2 of the 2021 Marvel Studios series Hawkeye might be on the cards, with the introduction of Clint Barton’s brother Trickshot in the MCU, as predicted from a new update. Hawkeye features Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton, AKA Hawkeye partnering up with Kate Bishop, portrayed onscreen for the first time by Hailee Steinfeld. The show’s debut season was released on Disney Plus.
New evidence suggests Marvel’s plans for eventual Hawkeye Season 2
Among the recent 4K UHD versions announced by Disney, Hawkeye was one of those that caught the attention of fans, due to one significant detail. While the version had a steel book packaging, the title of the pack, Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye – The Complete First Season, hinted at a potential Season 2 possibly going into development soon.
Previously, Marvel Studios has done the same for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, as well as Moon Knight, adding “Season 1” to their titles and leading to many speculations surrounding their second seasons.
However, there have been no official announcements by Marvel Studios at the time of writing regarding a sophomore season of Hawkeye. Along with the Hawkeye package, Marvel is also launching a Loki package, but just the second season. This will be out for fans to buy on December 3, along with the Ahsoka and The Mandalorian versions.
As stated in the press release by Disney, these 4K UHD versions of the shows will have several add-ons. This will include concept art images and bonus content, like deleted scenes and behind-the-scenes footage.
Although there are no updates on Hawkeye Season 2, in 2021 while having a chat with Collider, the show’s director Rhys Thomas expressed hopes for the same. He told the outlet, “I cannot speak to future plans in the tradition of secrecy.” Thoman praised Steinfeld’s character, Bishop, for fitting perfectly in the MCU on its debut. He added, “I loved walking on the streets of the MCU and would gladly enjoy doing it again.”
