Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire International Trailer Sees Titular Titan Invade Rome’s Colosseum

Godzilla is headed to Rome in a new international trailer for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.

Posted to YouTube by JoBlo Movie Network, a new international trailer for 2024’s Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire has been released. The video ends with a shot of Godzilla standing within the Colosseum, suggesting one of the film’s major set pieces may take place in Rome.

What is Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire about?

“The epic battle continues!  Legendary Pictures’ cinematic Monsterverse follows up the explosive showdown of Godzilla vs. Kong with an all-new adventure that pits the almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence—and our own. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire delves further into the histories of these Titans and their origins, as well as the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, while uncovering the mythic battle that helped forge these extraordinary beings and tied them to humankind forever,” the synopsis reads.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is directed by Adam Wingard, with the screenplay coming from Terry Rossio, Simon Barrett, and Jeremy Slater. The movie stars Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Dan Stevens, Kaylee Hottle, Alex Ferns, Fala Chen, and Rachel House.

Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, Eric Mcleod, Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, and Brian Rogers are the credited producers on Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, while Wingard, Jen Conroy, Jay Ashenfelter, Yoshimitsu Banno, and Kenji Okuhira serve as executive producers.

While Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire was originally intended to hit United States theaters on April 12, 2024, Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment recently bumped up the release date. The new MonsterVerse movie now comes out on March 29, 2024.
