AHOY Comics has released a preview for The Wrong Earth: We Could Be Heroes #1 — the first in a a two-issue anniversary celebration of Tom Peyer and Jamal Igle’s hit superhero series The Wrong Earth.

Written by Peyer and illustrated by Igle and Juan Castro, The Wrong Earth: We Can Be Heroes #1 hits comic shops next Wednesday. The issue features a main cover by Igle — which pays tribute to Gil Kane, Dave Cockrum, and Danny Crespi’s iconic cover art for Marvel’s Giant-Size X-Men #1. It also features an incentive variant cover by Jon Proctor. “With Dragonflyman, Dragonfly, and the rest of the masked crime-fighters trapped elsewhere in the multiverse, Earth-Alpha’s police, government, and banks are taken over by dastardly villains!” an official synopsis reads. “New heroes emerge — but can they prevail?”
