Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum Comes to LEGO in a Big Way

Doctor Strange‘s home base has seen LEGO form before, but never in the grand scale of the new Sanctum Sanctorum set, featuring 2708 pieces, a modular build, and customizable options. Put together three distinct floors, and create scenes from different movies. Slide levers to create portals to different universes. Build Shuma Gorath’s eye and tentacles either busting in or breaking out. Use clear flight stands to let Iron Man and Spider-Man fly or swing around. Stage the action with nine minifigs: Doctor Strange, Sinister Strange, Dead Strange, Illuminati Mordo, Scarlet Witch, Wong, Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Ebony Maw.

Over a foot high and a foot wide, the Sanctum Sanctorum doesn’t come cheap. It’s a $249.99 preorder at LEGO.com, with a scheduled release date of Aug 1. But it’ll fit right in with other LEGO city sets, and large-scale Marvel builds like the Daily Bugle.
