Miguel O’Hara Returns in Marvel’s New Spider-Man 2099 Series

It turns out Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse – Part 1 isn’t the only place we’ll be seeing Miguel O’Hara this year. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of his first appearance as Spider-Man 2099, Marvel is giving the future webslinger a brand new limited series. Beginning in May, Miguel will embark on a journey throughout the Marvel Universe in Spider-Man 2099: Exodus.

Miguel’s new story begins in Spider-Man 2099: Exodus – Alpha #1. After a Celestial falls to Earth and brings “a glimmer of hope to this broken world,” Miguel sees this as a chance for real change. With this, he sets off an an adventure that brings him everywhere from Asgard to the home of mutant kind. Along the way, he will also meet a host of new heroes, including 2099’s female Winter Soldier, a new version of Loki, and several additional members of the X-Men. Unfortunately, he must also deal with a mysterious organization called The Cabal. And whoever its members are, they have their own villainous agenda for the Celestial’s gifts.

Writer Steve Orlando is leading a creative team on Exodus that also includes a rotating cast of artists. Throughout the series’ run, expect artwork from Paul Fry, David Wachter, Marco Castiello, Ze Carlos, Alessandro Mircola, and Kim Jacinto. Let’s make history together in Spider-Man 2099: Exodus — and lead the people of 2099 into a new tomorrow!”

“Steve and this incredible lineup of artists not only take you on a whirlwind tour of the Marvel U of 2099,” added editor Mark Paniccia. “But reveal some stunning secrets and deliver a time-breaking end no fan will want to miss.”

Spider-Man 2099: Exodus – Alpha #1 hits comic shops on May 4. It will be followed by two more issues on May 11 and May 18.
