Sony’s decision to delay Morbius means the next Spider-Man adjacent movie won’t arrive until April. This is largely because Spider-Man: No Way Home is still the reigning box office champ, and Sony clearly wants to maximize what it can make this month. That’s probably also why the studio is bringing Venom: Let There Be Carnage back to theaters for a limited time starting this Friday, January 14. Check out the official announcement below.

Let There Be Carnage originally hit theaters back in October. And while critics deemed it just slightly better than its predecessor, it was still a box office success. It didn’t reach the same heights that Venom did in 2018, but the sequel managed to gross over $501 million worldwide, effectively guaranteeing that a third installment featuring Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock is on the way. Sony also released the film on Blu-ray and DVD last month.

It’s hard to say whether the sequel’s return to theaters will add much to its box office total. Since No Way Home arrived, just about every film to hit theaters in its wake has struggled to keep up financially. But according to several analysts, Scream has a pretty good chance at stealing the crown away from Tom Holland’s Peter Parker this weekend.
