Last year, many Star Wars fans’ dreams came true when Ahsoka Tano finally made the leap to live-action. The former Padawan of Anakin Skywalker made her debut in the Star Wars universe in The Clone Wars. Over the years, there were rumors about her eventual live-action appearance. Ultimately, it happened after Rosario Dawson was cast in The Mandalorian, and it was such a success that she received her own spinoff series. Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau are executive producing the project, with Filoni writing the show. Ahsoka series.
“It’s something you imagine doing for a long time,” Filoni said about the writing process while talking with Empire. “And then it’s kind of startling when you’re sitting there, and now you have to do it.”

The story will take place concurrently with The Mandalorian. In addition to new characters, the series will bring back some familiar faces, including, perhaps, Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker.
“I thought of this adventure for Ahsoka for a long time, and it’s interesting to see how it’s evolved,” added Filoni. “Years ago, I never would have imagined that it was sprung from a branch of a tree that had anything to do with a guy [like] Din Djarin, or a child that looks like Yoda.” He credits Favreau for helping to add “dimension and depth.”
Star Wars: Ahsoka doesn’t currently have an official release date.
