After much anticipation, The CW has finally released the trailer for Batwoman season 3. From the look of things, the next big villain in Gotham will be the Mad Hatter. In the comics, his real name is Jervis Tetch and he is a brilliant neuroscientist who believes he is the incarnation of the Alice in Wonderland character. He debuted in Batman #49, created by Bill Finger and Lew Sayre Schwartz. 2016’s Wayward Pines and 2012’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days vet Amitai Marmorstein will be in charge of giving the character his latest live-action adaptation. The notorious villain has been portrayed previously by Benedict Samuel on Fox’s Gotham, while the first live-action adaptation dates back to the 1960s Batman series, in which David Wayne wore the trick top hat.
Batwoman will return for its third run on The CW on Oct. 13. In the meantime, you can watch the Batwoman season 3 trailer in the player below.

In addition to the Mad Hatter, The CW’s Batwoman will introduce a few more A-list Batman villains including Poison Ivy, The Penguin, and Killer Croc. They all join Victoria Cartagena’s Renee Montoya, Robin Givens’ Jada Jet and Nick Creegan’s Marquis Jet as the new faces in Gotham. It appears that Javicia Leslie’s Ryan Wilder will keep fighting crime as Batwoman while Wallis Day’s Kate Kane is still searching for Bruce Wayne, hoping to bring her cousin back to Gotham.
