Finally, Hasbro’s Eternals Figures Get Their Official Reveal

Marvel’s Eternals, as originally intended, ought to have opened last November. But life, nature, and pandemics had other plans. For Hasbro, the delay was tougher to work with. Having developed the Eternals figures for Marvel Legends over the course of the previous year, they had them ready to go. But unlike the Black Widow toys, they would not see early release to promote a movie nobody could see for another a year. However, fully finished samples from the factories in Asia leaked, and have shown up online over the past few months. Superhero Hype and other similar sites do not publish unauthorized photos, but now that Yahoo finally gave the figures a formal unveiling, we can too.

Initial Marvel Legends figures for the line will include a full movie wave of seven figures, plus two standalone extra figures (probably store-exclusive) and one oversized creature. The basic wave will feature Ikaris (Richard Madden), Sersi (Gemma Chan), Kingo (Kumail Nanjiani), Phastos (Brian Tyree Henry), Makkari (Lauren Ridloff), Druig (Barry Keoghan), Sprite (Lia McHugh), and Gilgamesh (Don Lee) as the build-a-figure. Ikaris will not include a Gilgamesh part, but will get an extra swap-out laser-eyes head. Angelina Jolie’s Thena and Salma Hayek’s Ajak sell separately, and the Deviant General Kro is the big figure. Unlike with many Marvel Legends waves, there will be no obscure comics characters filling out the lineup. This is what happens when the principal cast features ten heroes.

Early leaked images suggest shiny metallic finishes on all the characters’ armor; a nice otherworldly touch. For more official images, check out the gallery below. Yahoo suggests that they will remain at last year’s price point of $19.99, rather than the recently hiked $22.99. If true, that provides essential relief to fans who have to have them all. Expect them to arrive in stores and online starting Oct 1.
