Earlier this month, Sony Pictures delayed its next Marvel adaptation, Morbius, to October. However, the ongoing coronavirus pandemic has once again disrupted Sony’s plans. Now, the new date for Morbius is January 21, 2022.
Via Variety, Sony also set new dates for several other upcoming films. The next James Bond movie, No Time To Die, is moving into Morbius‘ former date, October 8. Additionally, Ghostbusters: Afterlife will haunt theaters on November 11.
The Uncharted adaptation, starring Tom Holland as Nathan Drake, will now hit theaters on February 11, 2022. However, Sony has not yet moved Holland’s upcoming Spider-Man sequel from its December 17, 2021 date.

Sony also moved its Cinderella adaptation from February to July 16. Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway is also getting delayed to June 11.
As noted by Variety, Disney and 20th Century Studios’ The King’s Man is the only major film release still on the schedule for the next few months. Regardless, it’s March 12 release date will likely be changed.
Keep in mind, these dates may change again down the line. The pandemic is far from over, and Marvel’s Black Widow movie may be the next project to face another delay.
