Pedro Pascal Improvised with Baby Yoda in The Mandalorian Season 2

It turns out that Baby Yoda is not just adorable, but he is also a hell of a scene partner in The Mandalorian. Star Pedro Pascal confirmed it, also praising the admirable job the ILM team did. In a recent interview with Good Morning America, Pascal revealed that the Child is a good actor even when it comes to improvising.

“I’m not sure if it will be in the final cut, but I improvised a line at the start of the scene. I said, basically, ‘Don’t get too close to the fire!’ and Baby Yoda turned its head and reacted to me. It moved away from that. It wasn’t even in the writing, so there I am, improvising with Baby Yoda.”

But when it came to talking about any details from the upcoming sophomore season, Pascal started beating around the bush. Though he almost said nothing, he assured that the next season would keep up with the first.

“I will say that reading the first episode of the second season, I was taken aback in a really good way at how impressive that the first episode read,” Pascal said. “And already with the evidence of the first season, knowing that they were able to achieve everything that they set out to, and seeing this incredibly ostentatious first episode with the story of an action sequence and the way that it read on the page and just that feeling that, ‘My gosh, they’re going to achieve this visual experience!’”

The Mandalorian Season 2 will premiere on Disney+ on October 30. New episodes will drop every Friday at midnight.
