Earlier this week, Tom Holland took to Instagram to announce that production on the Uncharted movie is finally underway. However, Marvel fans are eager to hear some new info about that other franchise he’s involved with. Just like the rest of Marvel’s Phase Four slate, the as-yet-unsubtitled Spider-Man 3 was forced to postpone filming due to the COVID-19 outbreak. But now, Holland has offered a clue as to when Spidey’s next big-screen outing might get back on track.
Via Reddit, Holland recently showed up in a Patreon video posted by his father, English comedian Dominic Holland. Apparently, the younger Holland will have to wrap up his commitments on Uncharted before he can return to the MCU.
“Finish Uncharted, finish Spider-Man in February next year,” said Holland. “Two press tours, maybe together, which should take six weeks worth of work.”

Marvel was originally planning to start shooting Spider-Man 3 this month in Atlanta. Unfortunately, the coronavirus pandemic made that impossible, and Georgia remains one of the hardest-hit states in the country. The studio also has yet to make any new casting announcements, and it’s still not clear who the villain(s) will be. So far, all we know is that the sequel will reunite Holland with director Jon Watts and co-star Zendaya, who will return as MJ in the film.
Spider-Man 3 will hit theaters on November 5, 2021.
