Harley Quinn Seasons 1 and 2 Are Coming to HBO Max

DC Universe scored a big win last fall with the premiere of its adult-oriented Harley Quinn animated series. Now, WarnerMedia is about to expand the show’s reach to HBO Max subscribers as well. Collider brings word that the first two seasons will soon be available to watch on the new streaming service.

Reports that DC Universe would be sharing Harley Quinn began making the rounds a few days ago after HBO Max sent out an email newsletter announcing the series’ impending arrival. However, Warner Bros. didn’t actually confirm the news until today. Harley Quinn debuted on DC Universe last November and concluded its first season in February. Six weeks later, the series returned with its second season in April, before the season finale dropping last Friday.

This isn’t the first time that DC Universe has shared Harley Quinn with another platform. TBS aired a special presentation of the show’s pilot in December; and in May, SYFY began airing edited versions of first season episodes on a weekly basis. Stargirl and the new season of Doom Patrol are also airing concurrently on The CW and HBO Max, respectively. It’s unclear what this means for DC Universe, especially in light of last year’s reports that WarnerMedia was “re-evaluating” the service ahead of HBO Max’s launch. Regardless, the company hasn’t offered any concrete indication that the almost two-year-old DC hub is actually in trouble.

In the meantime, Harley Quinn showrunner Patrick Schumacker is still waiting for the green light to make season 3. Fortunately, he’s already started coming up with story ideas.

WarnerMedia has yet to announce when Harley Quinn will arrive on HBO Max.
